Mr. Game and Sweat Reviews: Rising Storm 2: Vietnam
Rising Storm 2: Vietnam’s 64-player firefights can make a workout fly by, but its precise aiming and sudden combat make it a poor fit for playing while moving. The tactical lulls between bursts of action are less demanding, yet the game’s competitive matches don’t wait for you to catch your breath.
Gameplay
This is a gritty, multiplayer-focused shooter with 20+ maps, 50+ weapons, flyable helicopters, and forces including the US Army and Marines, PAVN/NVA, NLF/VC, Australians, and ARVN. The firefights can be absorbing, and the changing pace—from tense movement to sudden, intense exchanges—keeps matches engaging. But deaths and quieter stretches can leave you waiting or moving cautiously rather than fighting constantly. There’s no long story campaign to interrupt the action, but it’s not nonstop action either.

Treadmill and Bike Compatibility
Steam lists no controller support, so expect to play with a keyboard and mouse. More importantly, this is a competitive multiplayer shooter built around precise aiming, quick reactions, and awareness of threats from multiple directions. Those demands are difficult to manage safely while running or biking, and you can’t pause a match when you need to adjust your pace.

Computer Requirements
The minimum requirements call for a 64-bit version of Windows 10, an Intel Core i3 at 2.5GHz or AMD Phenom at 2.5GHz, 4 GB of RAM, and a dedicated graphics card at least as capable as a GeForce GTX 460 or Radeon HD 5850. The game also requires DirectX 11, a broadband internet connection, and 60 GB of storage. That older dedicated-GPU requirement is more demanding than integrated graphics, but it doesn’t call for a high-end gaming PC.
Category Score: 2 out of 3
Conclusion and Score
Rising Storm 2: Vietnam offers tense, absorbing multiplayer combat, but its demanding controls and lack of listed controller support make it a risky choice for exercising. It’s better suited to playing seated than trying to keep up with a match on a treadmill or bike.
